The fifth Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) International Cultural Festival took place on May 16, celebrating the BFSU's diverse cultural integration and open, inclusive international campus atmosphere.
The opening ceremony of the event featured a string quartet performance of Auld Lang Syne, a martial arts performance, and a lively rendition of the song Shang Chun Shan.

Li Maolin, director of BFSU's Overseas Students Affairs Office, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, noting that this festival has become a vibrant symbol of BFSU's international campus and an important platform for youth exchanges.
Li also encouraged the more than 1,300 international students from 100 countries at BFSU to become promoters of cultural exchange, creators of peace and friendship, and leaders of global development.

Following the opening ceremony, a campus parade featuring international student representatives commenced. The parade included nearly 200 students dressed in diverse traditional costumes. Their singing and dancing painted a vibrant picture of world cultures, with spectators cheering and applauding the lively and exotic atmosphere.
In addition, at the arts salon section, students from Malaysia, Austria, Japan, Indonesia, Madagascar, Cambodia, Russia, and other countries brought traditional dance and song performances, which added rich artistic and cultural depth to the festival.

The cultural exhibition booths representing different countries operated throughout the day. The booths featured traditional costumes, specialty foods, handicrafts, and folk performances, offering attendees a feast for the senses.
