Dear GAFSU members,
GAPHO 2022 (the 1st GAFSU Photo Contest) is now open to all contestants!
This contest is a follow-up to the presentations in the 3rd Presidents’ Forum and the intent inquiry forms for future GAFSU activities you’ve sent to us. The theme is Diversified Languages and Cultures. Students from GAFSU member universities can submit their works. The final date for submission is March 31st , 2022.

The 1st GAFSU Photo Contest
PURPOSE
To encourage cultural exchanges and promote linguistic diversity
THEME
Diversified Languages and Cultures
(Description) To take photos that reflect colorful languages and cultures
SUBMISSION DUE
March 31st, 2022
ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
June 30th, 2022
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
First fill out the attached form, and then send the form and works of the contestant(s) as attachments to gafsu@bfsu.edu.cn before the submission due.
ELIGIBILITY
Students from GAFSU Member Universities
Each contestant can submit no more than 2 photos, and can be awarded only 1 prize, even if both photos are selected.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS OF THE PHOTOS
Images shall be larger than 3400* 2400 pixels;
File size shall be over 3 megabytes but less than 10 megabytes.
Format for the file name:
participant’s full name – title – location (a specific place)
e.g.: Amy Young – Chinese Calligraphy –Beijing, China (BFSU)
PRIZES & PRIVILEGES
Grand Prize: 1 awardee
Award of Excellence: 2-4 awardees
Award of Special Selection: 3-5 awardees
Award of Selection: 5-10 awardees
All winners will receive a certificate, and their works will be posted in the GAFSU Newsletter and exhibited offline in Beijing Foreign Studies University.

ABOUT GAFSU
GAFSU, officially launched in 2017, is established by well-regarded universities with strengths in foreign language teaching and research, as well as area studies. It is an open, nonprofit and non-corporate body. It serves to facilitate foreign language teaching and research, area studies and people-to-people exchanges as a platform for educational cooperation guided by the principles of solidarity, mutual trust, and win-win cooperation.
