On Sept. 21, 2020，a ceremony was held to launch a bachelor program for the Amharic language at BFSU. Jia Wenjian, Vice President of BFSU and Samuel Fitsumbirhan, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Ethiopia to China, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Li Hongfeng, Dean of the School of African Studies.
